NAfME Chapter #215 at Syracuse University is thrilled to host the 2022 Biennial Conference. This conference is held every two years at various universities. Past hosts include the College of Saint Rose, CUNY Queens College, and Nazareth College. The Biennial Conference is targeted at aspiring music educators or those interested in the field of music education. The conference is typically a two-day event consisting of mixers, speakers, conferences, and much more. Speakers range extensively from music educators to music supervisors and researchers in music education. Some of the main goals of this conference are for audiences to gain professional and leadership skills, network with others in the music education field and expand knowledge of music education that is significantly applicable in the present and future of music education. A variety of topics will be covered from music technology and DEIA in music education. In many ways, the conference will cover all aspects of NYS and national arts standards. All collegiate members of NAfME are able to attend, as well as Tri-M chapter members, area teachers, area music merchants, and members of the Setnor School of Music. Attendees are able to lodge in the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center on the evening (Friday, March 25) before being immersed in an incredible day of programming, or they can arrive on this day (Saturday, March 26). Registration and more details of the conference will be coming soon!
