Executive Board Members
These are our E-Board members who have worked tremendously over the past months on our planning committee for the conference, and ensure the good and welfare of NAfME Chapter #215. Executive Board members consist of Music Education undergraduate students from freshman to senior level. E-Board also members have distinct purposes of entering the field of music education.
Ronald Ditchek, President
Hello! I am a third-year Music Education undergraduate, and my primary instrument is classical voice. I am the President for our NAfME Chapter this school year. I am one of the co-coordinators of the communications committee, as well as a co-coordinator of the planning committee for the conference. I cannot wait to bring this conference to life and meet other amazing music educators!
Kaycie Romano, President-Elect
Hello! I’m Kaycie, the Vice-President of our NAfME chapter. I am a sophomore viola player double majoring in Music Education and Music History and Cultures. I am one of the heads of the Programming Committee, which focuses on choosing the presenters for our conference. I am super excited to meet other educators in March!
Hal Meyer
Hello! I am a senior music education major and disability studies minor at Syracuse University! I am the current senior representative for our chapter of NAfME and am currently preparing a presentation to give at the conference! I look forward to seeing everyone! Also, I play the saxophone!
Mikey Ando
Mikey Ando is a junior at Syracuse and is honored to be the treasurer of NAfME Chapter 215! He comes from North Andover, Massachusetts and is a flute and woodwind primary. Mikey organizes funds and helps recruit speakers for 215. He also has a minor in Disability Studies through the school of education. He is on the programming committee for the collegiate conference, and he has been working on reviewing session proposals. A fun fact about Mikey is that he is a member of the SU Pride of the Orange Marching Band Color Guard. In addition to this, this summer he will be part of the color guard for the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps, an open class drum corps out of Nashua, NH.
Grace Lesselroth
Hello! I am the current sophomore representative for the NAfME Chapter 215! I am from Syracuse, NY, and am double majoring in Music Education and Music History and Cultures. I am currently leading the Communications Team alongside our President, Ronny, for this conference. My primary is the flute but I also play piccolo in large ensembles, and a fun fact about me is that I will be studying abroad in Strasbourg, France, this spring! Unfortunately this means that I will not be attending the conference but I hope everyone has an amazing experience during their time here at Syracuse University.
Emery Schramm
I serve as the Junior Representative for NAfME Chapter 215, and I am aco-head of the hospitality team for this spring’s conference. I am a junior studying Music Education with a focus in choral and music theory studies. I am a vocalist, but I also play the clarinet, piano, and organ. When I’m not doing music things, I am also a hot air balloon pilot, and I love to fly locally and at events all over the country! I hope you enjoy this event! Welcome to Syracuse University, and go orange!
